POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: FAIRGROUNDS AND EVENT CENTER PROGRAM MANAGER
The essential function of the position is to plan, administer and direct the operations of the County Fairgrounds and Event Center. The position is responsible for the overall operation and smooth running of both a farmers’ market and flea market including vendor recruitment, marketing, and ensuring a positive experience for both vendors and customers on market days. The Fairgrounds and Event Center hosts several events annually. This position is responsible for event planning, organizing, and overseeing all aspects of an event, from initial concept to execution, ensuring a successful event by managing logistics, budgets, vendors, and staff while closely collaborating with clients to meet their specific needs and objectives. Responsible for the supervision of staff and assignment of staff during events for setup and breakdown. This position oversees the management of building and facilities and grounds maintenance.
This position may be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
