Manager, Promotions
What you get to do:
The Promotions Manager will:
- Negotiate, secure, and execute retail promotions for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island to include radio stations, QSR’s, grocers, malls, sports teams, colleges and other relevant highly regarded 3rd party brands to drive greater reach & awareness of our events, brands & products in local, same day, D&O and domestic markets.
- Be the primary contact for all TV, Radio & OOH media promotions designed to leverage our paid media dollars for greater on-air, social, and web exposure in key markets & with high value demos. This development includes station selections, program negotiations, valuations, contracting, creative development, and performance recaps.
- Lead strategy, development, execution and day-to-day management of consumer event marketing campaigns and retail promotions for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay & Adventure Island.
- Lead and participate in cross functional consumer event campaign brainstorming, experience ideation & marketing planning.
- Be responsible for ensuring all consumer event details are communicated to all marketing disciplines for a consistent consumer facing communication approach (web, email, social, etc.).
What it takes to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing or related subject or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, tourism, hospitality industry
- Experience with performance management, plan development, and project management
- Bi-lingual in Spanish & English language preferred
- Managerial or supervisory experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills required
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to drive business.
- Solid organizational skills. Able to manage a high volume of large-scale projects on varying timelines
- Robust client relationship development & negotiation skillset
- Commitment to collaboration and working effectively as part of team.
- Strong analytical skills. Able to interpret data and translate into action.
- Acute eye for detail and strong communication skills a must

- At least 18 years old
- Valid Florida State driver’s license
- Able to lift 50 pounds
